CV and Curriculum Vitae

Here are the following I made for my career path -

COVER LETTER

To

Steph Relph

Job ID: 68006306

First of all, I would like to introduce myself as Omar Iqbal.

I am currently studying as a part time student at University of Wolverhampton doing BA Animation. I am in my final year and once I graduate, I would like to become a Video Editor/ Animator.

Since I was a child, I always wanted to do video editing from a raw footage and manipulate it by changing parts of it to make it more interesting and eye catching. I have been influenced by TV adverts and programs I used to watch as a child like Sky Sports news and the premier league.

I look up to Alan McKay as I personally think he is a great guy. I hope one day have great achievements like him and hopefully gain achievements through the company (Concept personal)

I have done various video composites and animations during my studies. I have also done team work in projects with a total of 3 people in the group.

I have done networking with a few production staff at the custard factory as well to gain knowledge in the industry and set up an interview for field research as well.

My main skills are using, adobe Premier pro, TV Paint, Maya and Adobe After effects.

The main core skill I have is working as a team and building chemistry alongside them. If one of my key members is stuck in a situation, I will always be there to help them and share my knowledge as I would like to work in a good atmosphere for a better work ethic.

Research on a company ideal for me and ACTION PLAN

Sooooooooo, I looked at a few production companies and noticed the some of the big Film production companies hire a few other sub contracted companies that specialise in certain areas.

I did research on a film I liked which is "LEGEND 2015" and went on IMDB.

I looked at the full cast and crew and scrolled down to visual effects and noticed the department is in demand as it has lots of people working in the area.

I noticed on the majority of the casting crew that the staff/crew are sub contracted to the main production company which is Cross Creek Pictures.

The visual effects company is "Nvizible" based in London

Nvizible Visual Effects
8/9 Carlisle St
London
W1D 3BP
UK

One person that works for Nvisible is Tom Balogh
He has done a number of big films well known such as "Fantastic Beasts", "Legend" and
"Kick Ass 2"

It looks like he done lots of work with Nvisible between 2013 to 2016 with films ranging from "Kingsman 2014" to "Hercules 2014"

According to "LinkedIn" he studied at
  • Central St. Martins College of Art & Design,
  • Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs,
  • Christ's Hospital
Even though he has big roles in big films, he seems to keep himself quiet still as he doesn't have much on his Vimeo either but a lot of his credits and filmography is on IMDB.

I have now followed him on Vimeo and may message him to know more about him.

So far I know he is a teacher on the side which is good as I may learn a few things off him if I get in touch with him.

ACTION PLAN

In 3 years time, I would like to work for "Nvizible" as it is still in the UK based in London which isn't exactly far from home so I could still visit my family on the weekends.

At the moment I know I am not cut out to work for Nvizible but I know I have potential of getting there.
